Art Foundations III

Welcome to Mastering the Elements of Art

Art Foundation III

Art Foundation III is designed specifically for school-age children in 5th to 8th grade (ages 10-13).

In this LIVE ONLINE (zoom) course your child will practice expression, deepen their understanding of the elements of art, and explore a variety of techniques, helping them to enhance their skill set and begin to develop their personal artistic style.

These lessons still provide step-by-step guidance for those who want it, but many also include 'work time' within each project. This is intended to encourage your child, with support, to manage their project time and expectations in preparation for future advanced projects.

*For a better understanding of these elements, please go HERE.

Your child will learn:

  • more complex line drawings

  • 1 point & 2 point perspective

  • introduction to proportional realism

  • gesture & blind contour drawing

  • Intro to color pencil techniques
  • Intro to oil pastel techniques
  • Into to stippling/pointillism
  • Intro to watercolor techniques
  • learn to give and receive critique
  • multimedia techniques

By the end of this course, your child's portfolio will reflect their artistic journey and reveal their unique creative voice!

This course can be taken twice
before lessons repeat.
