  • How can parents contact the Instructor if they have questions or concerns?

  • What if I have multiple children at different ages – what course do I choose?
    We highly recommend following our age guidelines for the best learning environment for your child. However, if you wish to have all your children attend the same course, we suggest choosing the course appropriate for the youngest child. Older children can easily follow lessons designed for younger ages, while younger children often find it difficult to progress through more advanced lessons
  • How long are the classes?
    Art Foundations I is tailored for younger learners with shorter attention spans and runs for 45 minutes. Art Foundations II and III each run for 50 minutes. All classes allow 5 minutes at the start of each class for students to join and sign on.
  • What are the teachers qualifications and experience as an art instructor and do they have any specific training in teaching children?
    Jessica is a seasoned art instructor with 17 years of teaching experience and a 20-year career as a professional artist. With 14 years dedicated to art education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her classes.
  • How do I find the ZOOM LINK for my class?
    Your Zoom link will be sent to you as an invite email from my google calendar. Please email me if you did not receive an invite.
  • When do classes meet?
    Each course is scheduled on a specific day of the week and offers two different class times for you to choose from when signing up. Art Foundations I - Tuesday (10a / 4pm MST) Art Foundations II - Wednesday (10a / 4pm MST) Art Foundations III - Thursday (10a / 4pm MST)
  • How long does the course run?
    All three courses follow the traditional school year, divided into two semesters. Classes for the 2024-25 school year start the week of September 3rd and conclude the week of May 22nd.
  • Can the course be repeated?
    Yes. Each course is structured so it can be taken over a two-year period before the lessons repeat.
  • Can I join at any point in the year?
    Yes, all of our Art Foundations courses are open for enrollment at any time throughout the year. Please note, joining later in the year may mean your child misses out on some foundational skills, as our lessons are designed to build progressively, establishing a solid technique base. *Billing is done on a monthly basis, so there will be no change in fees regardless of when you join.
  • Do you offer private lessons or co-op?
    Yes, we do offer private lessons and co-op classes. For more information please email Jessica at jessica.artistcorner@gmail.com
  • What if my child needs to switch into a different class?
    If your child finds that their current class is too challenging or not challenging enough, we highly recommend switching to a different class. Class changes will take effect at the beginning of the following month. Here’s how to switch: Email Me: Let me know you’d like to switch classes, and mention if you originally registered with a coupon so I can make arrangements. Log In: Go to our website and log in to your account. Cancel: Cancel your child’s current class. Register: Sign up for the new class. Zoom Link: You’ll receive a new Zoom link for the updated class via email. If you have any questions or need assistance, just let me know!
  • Are there any opportunities for students to showcase their artwork?
    Yes, we love to celebrate our young artists! Please email your student's finished artwork to jessica.artistcorner@gmail.com . Selected pieces will be displayed on our homepage and may be used in promotional materials.
  • How are classes paid for?
    Tuition fees are ($50) PER COURSE, PER MONTH.
  • *Are materials provided, or do we need to purchase them separately?
    No, materials are not provided, but a list of required course materials is available on our Supply List page.
  • How do I choose the right course for my child?
    All three courses are designed to progress at a pace that matches the developmental stage, learning patterns, and cognitive needs of specific age groups. Ages 6-8 (grades 1-2) – Art Foundations I Tuesdays: 10a or 4p (45 min class) Ages 8-10 (grades 3-4) – Art Foundations II Wednesday: 10a or 4p (50 min class) Ages 10-13 (grades 5-8) – Art Foundations III Thursday: 10a or 4p (50 min class)
  • *What is your cancellation/refund policy?
    We understand that plans can change, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to manage your schedule. You can withdraw from a course at any time within the courses scheduled dates. All cancellations will take affect on the 1st of the month AFTER the cancellation date. There are two ways you can withdraw: Canceling a class yourself Log into your Profile account Go to 'My Subscriptions' Choose the class you want to cancel Click the V button on the right Cancel subscription Jessica can remove you from the class * Please Email Jessica at jessica.artistcorner@gmail.com with your withdrawal request (including course and students names) so you can be removed. For our refund policy please see our FAQ or Policies page.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
  • Can my child join the course late?
    Yes, students are welcome to join late. All late registrations are prorated.
